Sorry I missed this one when you posted! I found excerpts of the same book on the net - I have a funny feeling I used to have a copy until I loaned it to someone at work. Oh well. Some good thinking that ties in well with the comments on 'usability' made by other experts.
There is a saying "the customer is king" but anyone who has worked in retail knows the "customer is a pratt" (at best) and therefore the idea of a website not forcing customers to think is about right!
